Since I was a child I have done things differently because from a very early age I was surrounded by
people who delighted in doing things uniquely. I was fascinated, watching my father create an IGLOO
by using one half of a coconut shell and covering it with cotton to create snow effect, sketches made
by my mother and grandmother and the support from my husband. All of them inspires me. I find
that difficult things become simple when represented visually, be it in a sketch or by creating things,
which come naturally to me. Things that are pleasing to look at, can evoke emotions, memories,
make you cry, or create goose bumps are the types of representations I admire and imitate, like
Warli painting or sketching.
